Summary |
Exchange of letters regarding the shorthand system used by Miles Franklin to write his diary. Dorothy A. Hayes, of the Sydney Technical School in Australia, was transcribing the diary. Her letter includes photocopies of her recreation of the basic alphabet, brief forms, and some vocabulary from the diary. Marc Semler, of the Gregg Division of the McGraw-Hill Book Company, informs Mrs. Hayes of Charles E. Zoubek's retirement, tenitively identifies the system as Malone, and informs her that he is forwarding her letter to Louis A. Leslie. Leslie positively identifies the shorthand as Malone's system which is now called Clark's Shorthand and gives Mrs. Hayes the address of the system's publisher. |
