On the edge between improvisation, electronic and contemporary musics in company with the composers Benjamin de La Fuente and Samuel Sighicelli. Benjamin de La Fuente and Samuel Sighicelli are two of the most outstanding composers of their generation. Their compositions show two distinct and personnal poetics, yet they share common ideas concerning music and musical performances. Former students in composition with Gérard Grisey at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris (France), Benjamin de La Fuente and Samuel Sighicelli stand both on the edge between contemporary music, electronic and rock music, between composition and improvisation, and are at the same time composers and performers. The former plays the violin, the latter the piano, and altogether with the other members of Sphota, the "cooperative for musical invention," they explore new musical horizons. The movie director Benjamin Bleton has met the musicians, whose artistic friendship stimulates their respective creativity without merging their own distinctive personalities. |
