The 17 contributions reflect on tensions at the core of how we consider interaction in archaeology, particularly the motivations and mechanisms leading to social and material encounters or displacements. Linked to this are the ways we conceptualise spatial and social entities in past societies (scales) and how we learn about who was actively engaged in interaction and how and why they were (modes). The papers provide a broad chronological, spatial and material range but, taken together, they critically address many of the ways that scales and modes of interaction are considered in archaeological discourse. Ultimately, the intention is to foreground material culture analysis in the development of the arguments presented within this volume, informed, but not driven, by theoretical positions"--From publisher's website. 588 Description based on print version record and CIP data provided by publisher; resource not viewed. 590 eBooks on EBSCOhost|bEBSCO eBook Subscription Academic Collection - North America 648 7 To 1500|2fast 650 0 Prehistoric peoples|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh85080302|zAegean Sea Region|vCongresses. 650 0 Social interaction|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh85123965|zAegean Sea Region|xHistory|yTo 1500 |vCongresses. 650 0 Intercultural communication|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh85067222|zAegean Sea Region |xHistory|yTo 1500|vCongresses. 650 0 Material culture|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/ sh85082061|zAegean Sea Region|xHistory|yTo 1500 |vCongresses. 650 0 Spatial behavior|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/ sh85126348|xSocial aspects|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities /subjects/sh00002758|zAegean Sea Region|xHistory|yTo 1500 |vCongresses. 650 0 Neolithic period|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/ sh85090768|zAegean Sea Region|vCongresses. 650 0 Excavations (Archaeology)|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh85046105|zAegean Sea Region|vCongresses. 650 0 Social archaeology|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh85123909|zAegean Sea Region|vCongresses. 650 7 Prehistoric peoples.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1075242 650 7 Social interaction.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1122562 650 7 History.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/958235 650 7 Intercultural communication.|2fast|0https:// id.worldcat.org/fast/976084 650 7 Spatial behavior.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1128787 650 7 Social aspects.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1354981 650 7 Material culture.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1011739 650 7 Neolithic period.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1035813 650 7 Excavations (Archaeology)|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/ fast/917564 650 7 Social archaeology.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1122274 651 0 Aegean Sea Region|xAntiquities|vCongresses. 651 0 Aegean Sea Region|xRelations|vCongresses. 655 4 Electronic books. 655 7 Electronic books.|2local 655 7 Conference papers and proceedings.|2lcgft|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/genreForms/gf2014026068 655 7 Conference papers and proceedings.|2fast|0https:// id.worldcat.org/fast/1423772 700 1 Molloy, Barry.|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/ no2008049915 776 08 |iPrint version:|tOf odysseys and oddities|dOxford ; Philadelphia : Oxbow Books, 2016|z9781785702310|w(DLC) 2016007208 830 0 Sheffield studies in Aegean archaeology.|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/names/no98085831 856 40 |uhttps://rider.idm.oclc.org/login?url=http:// search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&scope=site& db=nlebk&AN=1257756|zOnline eBook.
