Summary |
Motion picture version of Shostakovich's stage musical, a gentle satire on the lives and aspirations of young Soviets. Follows the on and off romances of three young couples as they battle bureaucracy, petty corruption, and complications to acquire apartments in Cherry Town, a new showcase estate in suburban Moscow. |
