The origins of the architecture biennale are generally traced to the 1970s, when it emerged from under the umbrella of the larger Venice Biennale, which was itself established in 1895. Since then it has become one of the most prestigious forums for architectural discourse today, and has served as a model for a range of international exhibitions. This book explores the biennale through conversations with the directors who established its particular discourse, as well as with the current president of the Venice Biennale, Paolo Barrata. These conversations do not seek to recapitulate the exhibitions themselves but rather explore the questions that these exhibitions raise, with the hope of offering a model for future curatorial endeavours. 588 0 Print version record. 590 eBooks on EBSCOhost|bEBSCO eBook Subscription Academic Collection - North America 611 20 Biennale di Venezia.|eSettore architettura|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/names/n83032216|xHistory|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh99005024|vInterviews. |0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh99001682 611 20 International Architectural Exhibition|0https://id.loc.gov /authorities/names/n85057075|xHistory|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh99005024|vInterviews.|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh99001682 611 27 Biennale di Venezia.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1405621 611 27 International Architectural Exhibition.|2fast|0https:// id.worldcat.org/fast/1406715 650 0 Architecture|vExhibitions|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh2008117605|xHistory|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh99005024|vInterviews.|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh99001682 650 7 History.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/958235 650 7 Architecture|xExhibitions.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/ fast/813434 650 7 Architecture.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/813346 650 7 Exhibition catalogs.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 918092 651 0 Venice (Italy)|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/ n79018142|xExhibitions|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh2003003655|xHistory|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh99005024|vInterviews.|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh99001682 651 7 Italy|zVenice.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1204473 655 4 Interview. 655 4 Electronic books. 655 7 Interviews.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1423832 655 7 History.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1411628 655 7 Exhibition catalogs.|2lcgft|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/genreForms/gf2014026098 655 7 Exhibition catalogs.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1424028 655 7 Interviews.|2lcgft|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ genreForms/gf2014026115 700 1 Levy, Aaron,|d1977-|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/ n2001010695 700 1 Menking, William.|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/ no2003094914 700 1 Gregotti, Vittorio.|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/ n82161383 710 2 Architectural Association (Great Britain)|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/names/n80089971 776 08 |iPrint version:|tArchitecture on display.|dLondon : Architectural Association, ©2010|z9781902902968 |w(OCoLC)670473953 856 40 |uhttps://rider.idm.oclc.org/login?url=https:// search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&scope=site& db=nlebk&AN=1913735|zOnline ebook via EBSCO.
