Summary	While Miss Marple comforts Miss Blacklock, Inspector Craddock is trying to trace two people from her past, Pip and Emma, who would also be beneficiaries. But the past remains bafflingly obscure. As Miss Marple gets closer to solving the case she suddenly disappears. Craddock fears she might be another victim. It is, of course, a cunning plan to trap the murderer.
