In this book she describes the structure of the Priestly narrative, in particular its coherent sequential and parallel patterns. Boorer argues that at every point in the narrative's sequential and parallel structure, it reshapes past traditions, synthesizing these with contemporary and unique elements into future visions, in a way that is akin to the timelessness of liturgical texts. The book sheds new light on what this material might have sought to accomplish as a whole, and how it might have functioned for, its original audience. 588 0 Print version record and CIP data provided by publisher. 590 eBooks on EBSCOhost|bEBSCO eBook Subscription Academic Collection - North America 630 00 Bible.|pPentateuch|xCriticism, interpretation, etc.|0https ://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh85013789 630 7 Bible.|pPentateuch.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1808093 630 07 Bible.|pPentateuch.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1808093 650 0 P document (Biblical criticism)|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh85096406 650 7 P document (Biblical criticism)|2fast|0https:// id.worldcat.org/fast/1049798 655 4 Electronic books. 655 7 Criticism, interpretation, etc.|2fast|0https:// id.worldcat.org/fast/1411635 776 08 |iPrint version:|aBoorer, Suzanne, 1954-|tVision of the priestly narrative.|dAtlanta : SBL Press, [2016] |z9780884140627|w(DLC) 2016021820 830 0 Ancient Israel and its literature ;|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/names/no2010023521|vno. 27. 856 40 |uhttps://rider.idm.oclc.org/login?url=http:// search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&scope=site& db=nlebk&AN=1405941|zOnline eBook via EBSCO.
