Anglo-Saxon poetic records ; 5.
Note The manuscript of the "Paris Psalter" is preserved in the Bibliothèque Nationale, Paris, catalogue number "Fonds Latin 8824". The present edition includes only the psalms given in Anglo-Saxon metrical translation (psalms 51-150)--cf. Introd., p. [vii]-xiii.
The Anglo-Saxon metrical portions of Alfred the Great's translation of "De consolatione philosophiae" of Boethius is from three manuscripts: Ms. Cotton Otho A. VI, in the British museum, Ms. Bodley 180, and Ms. Junius 12, in the Bodleian library. The authorship of the Anglo-Saxon meters of Boethius is not definitely determined, but evidences lead to assigning the work to Alfred the Great. cf. Introd., p. xxxv-xlviii
Bibliography Bibliography of the Paris Psalter: pages xxxiii-xxxv; Bibliography of the meters of Boethius: page li-lv.
