Is this due to the fact that Western cultures are more creative or sensitive to creativity than the Eastern cultures? The editors strongly believe that this is more due to the differences in understanding and practising creativity in the West and East than to an Eastern indifference to creativity. Arts-Based Education: China and Its Intersection with the World investigates the field of arts -based educational practices and research. It argues that reflections on these themes must necessarily be reframed and re-read beyond the limits of colonialist oppositions and suggests a constructive and reflexive approach to theory and methodology, which takes into account intercultural and critical perspectives in these studies. This volume is the tangible product of the acknowledgement that China and Chinese culture deserves a more systematic and up-to-date dissemination through recent studies that bring together the arts, learning and creativity. It is clustered around two themes: (1) China and its communication with the world through arts-based education in international contexts, and (2) the development of arts education in China. 588 0 Online resource; title from digital title page (viewed on August 09, 2019). 590 eBooks on EBSCOhost|bEBSCO eBook Subscription Academic Collection - North America 650 0 Arts|xStudy and teaching|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh2007100729|zChina.|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/names/n79091151-781 650 0 Creative ability|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/ sh85033833|xStudy and teaching|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh2001008697|zChina.|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/names/n79091151-781 650 7 Arts|xStudy and teaching.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/ fast/817807 650 7 Creative ability|xStudy and teaching.|2fast|0https:// id.worldcat.org/fast/882433 650 7 ART|xPerformance.|2bisacsh 650 7 Creative ability.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 882417 650 7 ART|xReference.|2bisacsh 651 7 China.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1206073 655 4 Electronic books. 700 1 Chemi, Tatiana,|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/ no2014041332|eeditor. 700 1 Wang, Lihong,|d1968-|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names /n2015047434|eeditor. 700 1 Du, Xiangyun,|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/ no2013002053|eeditor. 776 08 |iPrint version:|tArts-based education.|dLeiden ; Boston : Brill Sense, [2019]|z9789004399471|w(DLC) 2019010090 830 0 Arts, creativities, and learning environments in global perspectives ;|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/ no2020089601|vv. 2. 856 40 |uhttps://rider.idm.oclc.org/login?url=https:// search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&scope=site& db=nlebk&AN=2151641|zOnline ebook via EBSCO.
