Due to the ideological heritage of the XIX and XX century, the social settings of the sociopolitical history of the USSR (1917-1945) have not been fully identified. Detailed examination of ideological and political concepts shows that the revolution of 1917 became not a middle class, proletarian movement, but rather a plebeian one. The misjudgment by the new power enabled growth but caused tremendous losses of human lives and material damages. Socialization of economy and strict centralization led to a new social structure and established terror as an instrument for social reorganization. WWII revealed the necessity of a correction of these developments, but the events of the Cold War circumvented any further considerations"-- Provided by publisher. 542 1 |fThis work is licensed under a Creative Commons license |uhttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/ legalcode 542 1 |fThis work is licensed by Knowledge Unlatched under a Creative Commons license|uhttps://creativecommons.org/ licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/legalcode 546 English. 588 0 Print version record. 590 JSTOR|bBooks at JSTOR Open Access 600 10 Stalin, Joseph,|d1878-1953|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities /names/n80044789|xInfluence.|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh2002005444 600 17 Stalin, Joseph,|d1878-1953.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org /fast/53304 647 7 Revolution|c(Soviet Union :|d1917-1921)|2fast|0https:// id.worldcat.org/fast/1907572 648 7 1917-1936|2fast 648 7 1936-1953|2fast 648 7 1917-1945|2fast 648 7 1917-1953|2fast 650 0 Revolutions|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/ sh85113507|xSocial aspects|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities /subjects/sh00002758|zSoviet Union|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/names/n80126312-781|xHistory.|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh99005024 650 0 Social change|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/ sh85123918|zSoviet Union|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ names/n80126312-781|xHistory.|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh99005024 650 0 Social structure|zSoviet Union|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh2010113522|xHistory.|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh99005024 650 0 Political culture|zSoviet Union|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh2008109576|xHistory.|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh99005024 650 0 State-sponsored terrorism|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh91004326|xSocial aspects|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh00002758|zSoviet Union|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/names/n80126312-781|xHistory. |0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh99005024 650 7 Politics and government.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/ fast/1919741 650 7 Social conditions.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1919811 650 7 Revolutions|xSocial aspects.|2fast|0https:// id.worldcat.org/fast/1096760 650 7 History.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/958235 650 7 Revolutions.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1096737 650 7 Social change.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1122310 650 7 Social structure.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1123372 650 7 Political culture.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1069263 650 7 State-sponsored terrorism.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/ fast/1131965 650 7 Social aspects.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1354981 651 0 Soviet Union|xPolitics and government|y1917-1936.|0https:/ /id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh85125845 651 0 Soviet Union|xPolitics and government|y1936-1953.|0https:/ /id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh85125847 651 0 Soviet Union|xHistory|yRevolution, 1917-1921|xInfluence. |0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh2008117102 651 0 Soviet Union|xSocial conditions|y1917-1945.|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh97002396 651 7 Soviet Union.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1210281 653 History. 655 0 Electronic books. 655 4 Electronic books. 655 7 History.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1411628 655 7 Electronic books.|2lcgft 776 08 |iPrint version:|aReiman, Michal.|tAbout Russia, its revolutions, its development and its present.|dFrankfurt am Main ; New York : Peter Lang Edition, [2016] |z9783631671368|w(DLC) 2016027098|w(OCoLC)953387115 830 0 Prager Schriften zur Zeitgeschichte und zum Zeitgeschehen ;|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/no2010167329|vBd. 10. 856 40 |uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctv2t4dn7|zOnline eBook.
