Although hell occupies a prominent position in popular Christianrhetoric today, it plays a relatively minor role in the Christian canon. The most important biblical texts that explicitly describe the fate of the dead are in the Synoptic Gospels. Yet among these passages, only the Lukan tradition is intent on explicitly describing the abode of the dead; it is the only biblical tour of hell. Hauge examines the story of the Rich Man and Lazarus in Luke 16:19. 588 0 Print version record. 590 eBooks on EBSCOhost|bEBSCO eBook Subscription Academic Collection - North America 630 00 Bible.|pLuke, XVI, 19-31|xCriticism, interpretation, etc. 630 7 Bible.|2fast 650 0 Hell|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh85060058 |xBiblical teaching.|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh00007757 650 0 Rich man and Lazarus (Parable)|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh85113916|xCriticism, interpretation, etc.|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh99004866 650 7 Hell|xBiblical teaching.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/ fast/954748 650 7 Hell.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/954747 650 7 Rich man and Lazarus (Parable)|2fast|0https:// id.worldcat.org/fast/1097534 655 4 Electronic books. 700 12 Hauge, Matthew Ryan.|tBiblical tour of hell : the parable of Dives and Lazarus. 776 08 |iPrint version:|aHauge, Matthew Ryan.|tBiblical tour of hell.|dLondon ; New York : Bloomsbury T & T Clark, 2013 |hxiii, 204 pages ; 24 cm.|kLibrary of New Testament studies ; 485.|kT & T Clark library of biblical studies |z9780567260109|w(OCoLC)858090976 830 0 Library of New Testament studies ;|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/names/n2005054893|v485. 830 0 T & T Clark library of biblical studies.|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/names/no2006023477 856 40 |uhttps://rider.idm.oclc.org/login?url=http:// search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&scope=site& db=nlebk&AN=640283|zOnline eBook.
