Building on the theories and methods of Translation Studies and Discourse Analysis it answers some basic, still much debated questions related to translational discourse production. Such a question is whether it is possible to analyse the (re)production of coherence, and if yes, how? Can the models devised for the study of English original (not translated) and independent texts (unlike translations and their sources) be applied for the analysis of translation? How do cohesive, rhetorical and generic structure "behave" in translation? How do particular components of coherence relate to translation universals? The volume proposes a complex translational discourse analysis model and presents findings that bring new insights primarily for the study of news translation, translation strategies and translation universals. It is recommended for translation researchers, discourse analysts, practicing translators, as well as professionals and students involved in translator training. 588 0 Print version record. 590 eBooks on EBSCOhost|bEBSCO eBook Subscription Academic Collection - North America 650 0 Translating and interpreting|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh85136958|zHungary.|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/names/n79053090-781 650 0 Translating and interpreting|xSocial aspects|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh2010116902|zHungary. |0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/n79053090-781 650 0 Hungarian language|xTranslating into English.|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh2022004891 650 0 Hungarian newspapers|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh85063004|xHeadlines|xTranslations into English |xHistory and criticism. 650 7 Translating and interpreting.|2fast|0https:// id.worldcat.org/fast/1154795 650 7 Translating and interpreting|xSocial aspects.|2fast|0https ://id.worldcat.org/fast/1154811 650 7 Hungarian language|xTranslating into English.|2fast|0https ://id.worldcat.org/fast/964007 650 7 Hungarian newspapers.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 964036 651 7 Hungary.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1205132 655 4 Electronic books. 655 7 Criticism, interpretation, etc.|2fast|0https:// id.worldcat.org/fast/1411635 776 08 |iPrint version:|aKároly, Krisztina.|tAspects of cohesion and coherence in translation.|dAmsterdam ; Philadelphia : John Benjamins Publishing Company, [2017]|z9789027258816 |w(DLC) 2017018546 830 0 Benjamins translation library.|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/names/n94010568 856 40 |uhttps://rider.idm.oclc.org/login?url=http:// search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&scope=site& db=nlebk&AN=1572165|zOnline eBook via EBSCO.
