The National Commission on Productivity was established in 1970. In 1974 the name was changed to National Commission on Productivity and Work Quality. Early in 1975 the National Center for Productivity was proposed to succeed the National Commission on Productivity and Work Quality, but was not passed into law. In Nov. 1975 this Commission was replaced by the newly named National Center for Productivity and Quality of Working Life, and in Oct. 1978, by the National Productivity Council.Works
